Real People, Real Portraits:

Real People, Real Portraits is a photography company, specialising in family portraits, with studios throughout Australia.

With such a specialised service, a simple or free "buy online" site with a one site fits all mentallity just wasn't going to cut it. The design and interactivity had to be impressive enough to give the user a high level of confidence that they were in the right place. It also reflects what should be expected from a "real people, real portraits" experience.

To keep the ordering process as simple as possible, the Real Portraits site also needed to run as an application where user input on any page could have an affect on the product, discounting and pricing. To achieve this, we used the combination of ASP.NET 2.0 and AJAX.

The end result is a dazzling display of images through a smooth navigation system, without relying on plugin technologies, combined with a simple and easy ordering process.

Instinctive Desires addresses the sales and business needs of photographers, photographic studios, and artists in general.

Being big on sales and information tools, Instinctive Desires required cutting edge technology to collect information, detect locallity and localise content and pricing to suit, sell their products online, create and send newsletters to subscribers, collect newsletter subscriptions via an automated email confirmation process, and the list goes on...

The apearance of the site also needed to appeal to a visually oriented demographic.

The result looks simple, but the back-end technology and the usefulness to the business is unreal.

HyChill has a wealth of promotional materials, manuals, safety information and P.R. to fit in to one site. Indexing and moulding the site into a format which would be easy for academics, engineers, trades people, and end-users to understand was imperative.

The result is well appreciated by most, and has received a lot of attention from industry competitors.
